RUNNING START

Running Start is a program for high school juniors and seniors who want to challenge themselves academically.

There are multiple ways to be qualify:

• Public high school transcript* with 2.75 cumulative GPA (would need to take the ALEKS Math test to qualify for college-level Math)
• Smarter Balance scores of 3 on English or Math
• ALEKS Math test score at college level**
• AP score of 3 or higher on English or Math exam
• English Readiness Assessment if none of the above or home schooled (would need to take the ALEKS Math test to qualify for college-level Math)

*Important: Sophomores & juniors who want to enter in the Fall, must wait until their first semester grades are posted at the high school is using GPA to qualify.

**The Assessment Center will tell you if your ALEKS Math test score is college-level.
